Power of the contest

One day in Japan, I was at my favorite Hotel Imperial in Tokyo - just the best service in the world and the best croissants ever tasted.  At the great restaurant on the 17th floor, I asked if it was possible for me to meet the head chef who made the croissants. They did. I met him and asked him what he did to make such great pastries. He said, "every month we run a contest with all 25 chefs in the hotel and have them taste each and pick a winner. Also, in Japan, we have a national contests with pastry chefs.  I entered the contest and won. They then sent me to Paris and I also won."

An amazing miracle for me to find him and learn and share his story.

Also, in Japan they have contests on hundreds of other items.  They also have a contest on who is the best cleaning person in Japan.

Niitsu won - she cleans toilets at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, and was picked as number one in Japan. She was on NHK, national television.  Wonderful. Every skill should be honored. And Haneda has been selected as the world's cleaning airport - four years in a row.

Running contests is so simple to challenge people to be the best. Do it and you will see fantastic results.
