In Japan, there are Living National Treasures. These are people honored to be the highest in their skill, in their craft. These people are the masters of their arts for others to admire and to strive for.
Early in the year, I visited an incense shop in Kyoto, Japan and noticed this incense burner was selling for over $20,000. I asked the clerk, "is it new or an antique?" He said, "it is new?"
Who in the world would pay $20,000 for a new incense burner? Would you? However, many people would pay for value and I feel that this burner was made by a Living National Treasure.
People, who can offered it, would pay $2,000 for a bottle of wine. Others would pay $50,000 for a Rolex watch.
Yes, people will pay for value. I believe everyone should be striving to improve their value, their skill. Just select a skill for you to become the best at, and I am sure you will have a great life. Become a master at something that people want.
