Today, I received a telephone call telling me that in 30 minutes my electricity will be turned off unless I immediately pay my Clark Public Utility invoice. I double checked and I paid this Sept 3, four days late. I called the number they left and was told they had no record of the payment and had to send them cash. He was very good. He frequently left me on the phone waiting. While waiting I called the electric company and was told my invoice was paid.
There are so many scams today especially for older people. Best to not answer the phone unless you know who is calling you.
