My teacher Rudi once said, "If there is a harder way, show it to me, because it must be wonderful."
Sounds crazy!
"No."
Rudi taught all of his students to have one major wish in life and that was to grow. "Become the best you can be." And growing is not often easy but when you do succeed and learn how to master something new, it is wonderful.
Stop going after easy things. Pick a skill and become a master at it. Don't worry about picking the wrong thing, you can always change later, at least you will be putting your energy into a positive direction.
This week, I listened to someone talk about struggling and not able to find what he wanted to do in his life to make a living. I advised him to pick something and pursue it. Instead of "floundering," just pick one thing and go after it.
Most people do not have a goal. When younger, I never had a goal of what I wanted to do in my life. I just did what my parents or teachers wanted. I just did each day what life presented to me. Luckily, I did discover new and wonderful things to do.
