A great doctor - a modern Hippocrates - Dr. Hiroshi Nagata

Hippocrates was born around 460 BC on the island of Kos, Greece. He became known as the founder of medicine and was regarded as the greatest physician of his time.
Hippocrates placed great emphasis on strengthening and building up the body's inherent resistance to disease. For this, he prescribed diet, gymnastics, exercise, massage, hydrotherapy and sea bathing. Hippocrates was a great believer in dietary measures in the treatment of disease.

Hippocrates is rumored to have lived to well over 100 years old. In reality, evidence suggests he was in his late 80s or early 90s when he died.
He lived a long and very fruitful life and his longevity was probably at least partly thanks to his experience and skill as a physician.

Dr. Hiroshi Nagata is a modern Hippocrates living in Wakayama Japan. He is a neurosurgeon, (a brain surgeon), a neurologist, and an internist, who was troubled with modern medicine. Through his studies he developed a new medical practice call PNST which replicates Hippocrates and now he simply taps on the skin with a metal stylus to stimulate the movement of energy (blood) to heal the body.

You also maintain a healthy diet, exercise, massage, use hydrotherapy and drink many glasses of water a day.  You learn how to do daily self care.

To learn more about PNST got to Amazon.com and read his new book:

Acupuncture: 3rd century BC

A Chinese text, the Nei Ching or 'Book of Medicine', describes the practice of acupuncture. The document is written in about the 1st century BC, by which time acupuncture is already a long-established tradition.

The underlying theory is that a healthy body depends on a flow of energy. This can be interrupted by blockages, which may be either the symptom or the cause of illness. Inserting a needle into the correct spot on the energy path (as many as 365 possible places are specified) will improve the energy flow by clearing a blockage or releasing pressure. The use of acupuncture as a form of anaesthetic, familiar in China today, is a modern development of the traditional science.
